Jay grew up in a home full of love, but not much in terms of material things. While other kids had branded clothes and new toys, he learned the value of contentment early on. Unlike his sibling who was more particular with brands, Jay never grew attached to material things. He has always been thoughtful — often giving away what he had, even if he had little left for himself.

He recalls how his parents would buy one piece of Jollibee chicken to be split among siblings — and he would always take what was left. Despite those humble beginnings, he carries pride in how he was raised and now raises his own kids with the same values. He teaches them to prioritize themselves first — to grow secure and independent — before helping others.

One thing that weighed heavily on Jay was the feeling of being left behind. His eldest child grew up while he worked out of town, missing many milestones. But through his current work-from-home setup, he finally found the real treasure: the ability to nurture and grow with his family, day by day.

 Jay’s journey into the virtual assistant industry began during the pandemic. His previous company first placed him on extended leave, but eventually, the business could no longer sustain operations and had to let employees go.

Determined to adapt, Jay explored remote work opportunities and secured his first VA role. Unfortunately, the environment was toxic, and salaries were always delayed by a month. With bills piling up and no reliable income, he sold siomai on the side just to make ends meet. Debt continued to grow, and he even considered returning to out-of-town work just to survive.

Then came Deleg8—a blessing in disguise. It offered the stability, supportive culture, and reliable income he had been searching for. For the first time in a long while, Jay found both professional growth and peace of mind in a workplace that truly valued him.

 Jay’s mission is deeply rooted in both family and personal growth. On a personal level, he dreams of buying a home for his loved ones — a permanent place they can finally call their own, built through years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. After spending so much time away from them in previous jobs, his goal now is to provide not only presence, but true stability and financial security.

Professionally, Jay aspires to become a leader in the virtual assistant industry. His long-term vision is to one day step into a role similar to the CEO of Deleg8 — not for the title, but for the opportunity to influence, inspire, and mentor others with the same integrity and passion that shaped his own journey.

He is committed to continuous learning, expanding his expertise in client management, leadership, and remote team collaboration. His mission is to evolve, excel, and eventually help other aspiring virtual assistants find the same stability and success that Deleg8 provided for him.
