Background
Jannel grew up in a loving and supportive family, but life dealt her challenges early on. She lost her mother at just seven years old and her father at eighteen, leaving her to navigate adulthood without parental guidance. Despite these hardships, she was raised with the values of gratitude, perseverance, and resilience—qualities that became her foundation as she fought to build a life for herself.
From a young age, Jannel knew she had to be independent. She worked hard to sustain her education and daily needs, taking on side hustles such as tutoring, completing projects for others, and working as a student assistant. At seventeen, she tried to enter the workforce but faced multiple rejections due to her age. When she finally turned eighteen, she ventured into the BPO industry, determined to establish herself in the corporate world.
However, life had other plans. Her father fell ill, and his hospitalization took a financial toll on her. She had to put her studies on hold—a decision she still considers one of her biggest regrets, as she dreamed of earning her degree to honor her grandmother, who did everything she could to support her education.
How It All Started
Jannel’s journey into the Virtual Assistant industry began during the pandemic when she was forced to adapt to the changing job market. With onsite jobs becoming uncertain, she sought stability in remote work. She started with part-time gigs in lead generation, eventually transitioning into an Executive Assistant role.
However, the road was not easy. One of her biggest struggles came when she worked for months without pay. Realizing she needed to prioritize her financial well-being, she made the difficult decision to resign. Her full shift into the virtual world came when her company mandated a return to onsite work, and she chose to leave to care for her grandmother, the person who had always been her pillar of support.
Still determined to succeed, Jannel continued searching for a company that valued both her skills and her commitment. That’s when she found Deleg8. She applied, went through the interview process, and successfully got hired.

Jannel envisions a future where she thrives in the virtual assistant industry. She is eager to take on more clients, enhance her expertise, and build a stable career that allows her to achieve financial independence.
